Why We Partner with 1% for the Planet

Ivy Marie is committed to our planet and believes that as a business, we have a responsibility to give back and help improve our communities. That’s why we are proud to be an approved member of the 1% for the Planet movement.

What is 1% for the Planet? 

1% for the Planet represents a global network of over 3,000 businesses, individual and nonprofit organizations tackling our planet’s most pressing environmental issues. This organization, which was founded in 2002, believes that collectively we can be a powerful source in solving the world’s problems and focuses on six core issue areas: climate, food, land, pollution, water and wildlife. They also help connect members with nonprofit partners that will make the greatest impact and align with their values and goals.

How does it work? 

1% for the Planet provides two membership programs - business membership and individual membership. As part of the business membership program, Ivy Marie is committed to donating the equivalent of 1% of gross sales directly to environmental nonprofits. The organization certifies all member donations to ensure all contributions go to vetted nonprofits by reviewing and confirming sales and donation details annually. 

Is it effective? 

1% for the planet believes in collective impact – that we can do far more together than we can alone. And to date, the organization has certified more than $250 million in support to approved environmental nonprofits.
