Everything You Need to Know About Our Eco-Friendly Packaging
From using organic materials and practicing ethical manufacturing to the packaging we use to ship our products to your doorstep, we are committed to a sustainable business model. That’s why we’ve partnered with noissue, which helps provide brands and businesses of all sizes access to sustainable packaging. All of noissue’s packaging products are eco-friendly, which allows us to provide Ivy Marie customers with an unboxing experience that isn’t tarnished by excessive amounts of non-recyclable plastic. Please note that all Ivy Marie Jumpsuits and Rompers come pre-packaged by our manufacturer in a clear, compostable polybag prior to being placed in our noissue packaging. See below for the specific noissue products we use.
Compostable Mailers: These bags are plant-based, durable, and completely compostable – making them the perfect alternative to plastic poly mailer bags. They are made from a combination of PBAT, a bio based polymer which is compostable, and PLA, which is made up of plant materials such as regular field corn and wheat straw. Noissue’s use of PLA makes up barely 0.05% of annual global corn crop, making it an incredibly low-impact resource. The bags, which can be composted either at home or commercially, are certified by leading authorities worldwide; meeting American, European, International and Australian standards.
Stickers: The paper stickers we’ve created via noissue are high quality and FSC Certified. The stickers are made from cellulose fiber where the active acid pulp is eliminated during processing. The pulp is also lignin-and sulfur-free, meaning ink won’t transfer from the sticker and the paper won’t leave behind any of these chemicals when decomposing. The stickers are printed with soy-based ink – an eco-friendly alternative to petroleum-based inks. Soy inks have low levels of VOOCs, reducing air pollution during the dying process.
Shipping Labels & Cards: Both the noissue shipping labels and cards are compostable and FSC-recycled.
Ivy Marie is also a part of noissue’s Eco-Alliance Program, which helps contribute to global reforestation. For every packaging order Ivy Marie makes, noissue plants trees in areas of need. As of April 12, 2021, noissue has planted nearly 30,000 trees in 22 locations on behalf of the Eco-Alliance Program participants. Noissue is more than just a packaging company – they are committed to sustainability and to helping small businesses, like Ivy Marie, by allowing packaging to be fully customized through an easy online design platform and only creating products that are available in low minimum order quantities.
